Here on T.B.L we have the full video of the 4 Chicago teens that kidnapped and physically harmed a mentally disabled teen. After watching the video and doing a little digging, here is what we know so far:
The teens involved are
- Jordan Hill, 18, of Carpentersville,
- Tesfaye Cooper, 18, of Chicago,
- Brittany Covington, 18, of Chicago,
- Tanishia Covington, 24, of Chicago,
They are all being charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, robbery, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and residential burglary.
It all started when the victims parents dropped him off at McDonald’s. They later reported him missing when they did not hear from him again. The victim was found wondering the streets by police officers, according to reports the victim was disoriented and in distress. The police took the victim to the hospital and found that he had been abused, during the investigation the video from Brittany Covington’s (a.k.a Brittany Herring on FB) Facebook live was seen and that is where this whole mess started.
Now before we get to that video, I want to make sure you all know that it is the original unaltered video and DOES contain graphic language and real violence. We have not and will not censor ANYTHING in the video.
Now that you seen the video, lets review…
During the course of the video you can see that the victim is tied up, hit on, a knife is taken to his head and part of his head is scalped to where the victim begins to bleed, ashes were flicked onto him, he was spit on and at one point you can see that there is something around his neck which is used to pull him up from a sitting position. The teens make racial comments about hating Trump and white people. You know that the teens knew the victim because at one point you clearly hear Brittany saying to the people watching the video live “He deserves this, y’all don’t even know what he did” You also hear someone say “Put him out of his misery” and Brittany replying “We cant do this shit on live”.
Now up to this point this has all been just the facts, but I cannot put something like this up and not comment on it myself. While watching this video I had a range of emotions as I am sure you did. The video and the reports that I looked at had me questioning a lot of things… One thing that I kept asking myself and I am still asking is was this a hate crime or was this just some young people doing crap to get likes on Facebook. No I am not blaming Facebook directly but I am blaming social media as whole. Our society is just so messed up and wrapped up in social media that people are doing stupid, crazy stuff just for extra attention. This is truly sad because these teens and millions out there just like them are this worlds future. I know, scary thought right? Please comment below, I would love to hear your thoughts and feelings on this matter.
